Technical decisions
Combined a Kafka-based credit-risk event pipeline with CloudEvents and reactive consumers. A BigQuery semi-structured table retained full risk responses, while structured views exposed the fields needed for analysis. Checkout fallback paths returned declined, errored, or ineligible users to Pay in Full.
Outcome
Brought payment choices earlier into checkout and reduced duplicate data entry, with eligibility, OTP, underwriting, and approval or decline handling in one flow.
